Every night, 20-year-old Joy gets a glimpse of the future. But with a recovering drug addict dad, a pill-popping boyfriend, and a recent lay-off, that doesn’t mean she can stop it from being shitty. That is, until she foresees an event that will ruin the lives of her loved ones forever. She’ll have to figure out how to change her future–or live with the consequences.

Joy’s clairvoyance is a metaphor for depression and anxiety, disorders many on our team have experienced first-hand. Writing this script helped its author to understand his own mental health issues, and we aim to empower audiences through Joy’s journey in the same way.
